The 19th Annual Paving the Way Fundraiser honored women in leadership, inspired those who are just starting their journey, and highlighted the work that has been and can continue to be done to pave the way for successful female business leaders.

Following a delicious dinner and the silent auction portion of the evening, we heard a keynote address from UWiB’s Women of the Year, Madeline Down. She spent seven seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, where she created standout docuseries like The Sound of the Seahawks, Before the Noise, Marshawn Takes Munich, and Season of Boom. From sideline shooting to executive producing game days, her work has reached millions and even led major campaigns like the Seahawks Throwbacks, which was named the most successful alternate jersey campaign of all time by Fanatics in 2023. In 2024, Madeline co-founded Studio89 alongside Doug Baldwin Jr., with a mission to redefine storytelling across narrative, commercial, and documentary film in the Pacific Northwest. Built on curiosity and inclusion, the company is committed not only to creative excellence but also to community impact, with a portion of its revenue supporting the Family First Community Center and helping keep it free for the community.

With the money raised at this event, we contributed directly to our endowment, which awards one deserving member an $13,000 scholarship to assist them with educational expenses and further enhance their leadership skills. Our goal is to one day fully fund a deserving member’s annual tuition, of which your support can help us reach.
